Electro on vinyl
Electro draws on funk and Kraftwerk: broken drum-machine beats, robotic vocals and synth bass. It was born in New York in the early eighties and came back strongly in the nineties and 2000s from Detroit and Europe. At beatdo, the label also covers 2000s club electro, closer to house.

Electro: frequently asked questions
Is electro the same as electro house?
No. Classic electro uses a broken beat, close to breakbeat; electro house is four-to-the-floor house with distorted bass, the club sound of the mid-2000s.
Can I ask for an electro record you don't have right now?
Yes: add it to your wantlist and we will email you as soon as a copy comes in.
